Jason & Amanda Mikell Leadership Scholarship
ABOUT
The JAM Leadership Scholarship, sponsored by Jason and Amanda Mikell, reflects their shared passion for academics and leadership. They are honored to sponsor this scholarship program as a way to invest in the future leaders of tomorrow.
This scholarship is awarded to deserving high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership within their community and excellence in their academic pursuits.

Each year, two scholarship prizes are awarded, which can be used to cover tuition, housing, books, or any education-related expenses.

First Prize: One winner receives a one-time scholarship prize in the amount of one thousand dollars and zero cents ($1,000.00).
​
Second Prize: One winner receives a one-time scholarship prize in the amount of five hundred dollars and zero cents ($500.00).
ELIGIBILITY
The JAM Leadership Scholarship contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are high school seniors and will enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, or trade school) no later than the Fall semester. Please note that not everyone is eligible for this scholarship. Void where prohibited.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

To enter, beginning February 15th, eligible applicants should submit a completed scholarship application, no later than April 15th at 11:59 PM EST. Limit one (1) Application per person.

Completed scholarship application must include:
1. Completed online application form.
2. Uploaded Transcript with online application.
3. A short original, previously unpublished written response to the scholarship topic, "Explain what makes you a good leader. Describe a time when you had to lead and how it made a difference in your community, school, or family." (500 words or less)
*Written response must be written in English, with correct spelling and grammar, and it must not exceed five hundred (500) words.
*No substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages will be accepted once you have submitted your original Application. Written responses that are obscene, pornographic, libelous or otherwise objectionable will be disqualified.

Note: Photographs will result in disqualification and should not be included. Scholarships are judged and awarded without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability.
All applications become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or unintelligible applications. By submitting an application, you fully and unconditionally accept and agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
